James prefers to have a very layback life except for looking for Mr Rabbit. NafNaf is always very busy in the kitchen - waiting for the odd crumps to fall down
My husband and I went for a three day vacation to Hindsgavl castle in Denmark ...nice food, awesome hotel fantastic surroundings with a lot of beautiful walks. The dogs love it. James and Hollie were our companions and of course they were entered in a show as well ,Sunday. James ended up as 4th best male and Hollie did very well for her first show only 11 months old. We met a lot of old friends at the show and also managed a few bargains in the different stands.
Just an update on how 2016 started ...on the 14th of January here was lovely winter, snow and ice and I took the dogs for a long walk along the beach- very much appreciated by all of us. I had driven down to the beach as it was so slippery in our village. All was fine but two meters from the car I fell, slipped on black ice under the snow. James was sure it was a new and very funny game I started, NafNaf thought that I was very embarrassing lying there on the ground. The result was a broken arm and four weeks with a cast...
I've been waiting a long time for Giselle to finally get mated and after some tests at my favorite vet Piotr Buszek, he said it was ok on the 21 of January. So now we'll just have to wait and pray. The father to be is Extra's Esquire "Diesel" ...you'll find the info under O-litter.
In January two grandchildren were born on the same date - the 13th. One girl in Oslo, Philippa and one girl in New York, Clara. This lead to an immediate trip to Oslo and then in February we visited New York. In March the third girl, Moa arrived but closer to home, in Skanör even! Of course all the births had to be followed by two christenings and one name giving ceremony during the summer.
To make it all better I had a surgery on my foot in May and couldn't move quite alright for a while...it's fine now :).
The New yorkers came for the summer and stayed with us for six weeks, and so did the Norwegians (but for a shorter time). In September the whole family met agin but this time in lovely Spain where Emilie and Fredrik got married <3
In October Mats and I left to visit Holland, spent time with friends from our time there. And for thanksgiving we left for New York once again and came home mid December just time enough to prepare for the holidays.
I have produced two litters this year the M 2and N2-litter (more info under litter) - both large litters. Thank God that one litter was living with my co-owner Eeva Kalthoff who did a fantastic job bringing them up. The puppies all found loving families and I have only got good reports from all of them.
Some high-lights of the busy and very hardworking dogs this year. I'm so grateful for all the help and enthusiasm they owners show.....

But the dog and his handler/owner who has done their utmost to show him off this year is of course Malin Lindahl and her beautiful Multichampion Extra's Esquire.

As a breeder you can't be more proud of this couple who are so much in sync and love showing both of them <3

Friday - off to the yearly Breeders' meeting in Gränna, a four hours drive from home but got some very nice company from fellow breeder Annie Jönsson. Had a nice dinner together with some of us arriving the day before the actual meeting.
Saturday - started with a lot of interesting news from the board and commitees - lunch- a really well presented lecture in the afternoon by Moa Persson , well-known Swedish judge. I have never thought an anatomy-lesson could bring out so many laughs from the audience.
Then the long ride home - home sweet home!
Sunday - up early as I had an appointement to have my Extra's Giselle mentally described but it was so worth the early morning. She did great - she did so much better than some of the German shepards they had the day before , I was told. Then rushing off home to pick up James as they suddenly offered me another description because a dog didn't show up.
Stress stress stress finding all the papers, getting his hair out of his eyes etc - but we made it! And I am so happy to own this dog - he surprises me most of the days but his test showed how much he's got in him - love you James! You are one of a kind.
After obtaining his third Rally- obedience title last weekend he's now called RLD N, RLD F, RLD A Extra's High Five aka Fergus and this week-end he managed to reach BIG 2 at Veberöds brukshundklubb judge Pia Lundberg. Well done boy - brains and beauty - you got it all! And a million thanks to co-owner Bittan Sjökvist who is promoting and working him so well !
At the same show Extra's Keep smiling aka Kelly was BOS with co-owner Tina Aldin handling her doing a great job!
